LANCOM Trusted Access Client (Windows & macOS)
LANCOM Trusted Access is the trusted network access security solution for enterprise networks. It enables secure and scalable access to enterprise applications for employees in the office, at home, or on the road, protecting modern hybrid working from anywhere, anytime. The LANCOM Trusted Access solution adapts to increasing security requirements in your organization and enables both cloud-managed VPN client networking for access to entire networks and the move to a Zero Trust security architecture for comprehensive network security. Based on granular access rights, users are only granted access to applications that have been assigned to them (Zero Trust principle). Existing systems for managing users and user groups (Active Directory) can be fully integrated into the R&S®LANCOM Management Cloud (R&S®LMC). For smaller networks, the R&S®LMC alternatively offers internal user management. LANCOM Trusted Access 100% GDPR compliant and scales for small businesses as well as for very large networks with several thousand users.

Why is LANCOM Trusted Access being set to end-of-sale status?
Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity (formerly LANCOM) regularly reviews its product portfolio to ensure it can continue offering customers and partners powerful and future-proof solutions over the long term. As part of this portfolio focus, LANCOM Trusted Access will no longer be continued as a standalone solution. In the area of remote access, we will increasingly concentrate our resources on established solutions with broad market acceptance and strong long-term development prospects. This includes, in particular, the proven R&S®LANCOM Advanced VPN Client.
What does this mean for the topic of “Zero Trust”?
The discontinuation of LANCOM Trusted Access does not mean that security concepts such as Zero Trust or secure access control are losing importance. It simply means that Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity will no longer continue this specific solution as a standalone product. Secure remote access scenarios remain highly relevant and will continue to be addressed through established solutions such as the R&S®LANCOM Advanced VPN Client.
Does R&S Networks and Cybersecurity support customers during the transition?
Yes. Customers and partners can contact their usual representatives of R&S Networks and Cybersecurity to discuss suitable alternatives and migration paths. For many remote access scenarios, the R&S®LANCOM Advanced VPN Client is the most straightforward option.
