Understanding, setting up, and maintaining network scenarios - sounds like a challenge? Not with R&S®NC Academy (formerly LANacademy), because with the right know-how we make you a professional for network infrastructures of Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity. How does that work? It's straight forward: Attend our various workshops and you will receive specific knowledge directly from the source. It will be an eye opener: You will use your acquired knowledge directly to configure R&S®LANCOM devices and realize network scenarios. Dealers, consulting companies, technicians, system administrators, and IT decision-makers in particular benefit from the coordinated offer in our R&S®NC Academy.
Notice on the company name: Since July 1, 2026, LANCOM Systems has been named Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity. Product information and communication materials are accordingly issued under the new company name. The previous product designation is provided as supplementary information to support clear findability and identification of the products. Product identity, functionality, and compatibility remain unchanged.

Whether it's self-directed learning with flexible time management (web-based training), real-time workshops as an online event or face-to-face workshops – even on site at your premises. With R&S®NC Academy's offerings you can learn the way that suits your needs and your time allows.
Certifications – an expertise that sets you apart
Do you want to stand out from the crowd of suppliers and impress your customers with the knowledge you have acquired? Certifications from R&S Networks and Cybersecurity are the best proof of comprehensive network know-how. The workshops and associated certifications build on each other, depending on the subject area. After passing the exam following a workshop, the certification identifies you as a R&S®NC Academy Certified Professional, Specialist, or Expert.
For the troubleshooting workshop series, we deliberately award R&S®NC Academy accreditations rather than certifications, as this qualification has no direct impact on partner status.

Professional workshop
Our professional workshop provides you with the perfect introduction to the overall overview and use of the R&S Networks and Cybersecurity Portfolio in terms of WAN, WLAN, Switch & Cloud. As a technician, reseller, or end customer, you will gain the theoretical and practical knowledge you need to set up a small customer network (including Wi-Fi guest access) at a single location. The topics are supplemented by practical exercises.
Not only will you benefit from valuable tips, but you can also optionally decide to obtain the certification that will label you as a R&S®NC Academy Certified Professional.

Certification: Multiple choice (online exam)
Specialist workshops
Do you want more than just basic professional knowledge of R&S Networks and Cybersecurity products? Building on the professional workshop, you – as a technician or network administrator – will deepen your knowledge of planning, commissioning, and administering medium-sized networks. Choose areas of focus such as WAN, WLAN & Switch, and Cloud, or device-specific topics such as Unified Firewall and SMB Switching.
Optional for these workshops: Show us the knowledge you have acquired and you will receive a certificate that makes you a R&S®NC Academy Certified Specialist.
Options: Expert-led classroom / web-based training / customer premises
Duration: 3 days + the morning of the 4th day for the exam
Certification: Practical exam (scenario-based)
Expert workshops
In-depth knowledge is a real game-changer, especially for large and complex customer networks: The expert workshops are particularly well-suited for experienced network engineers who want to plan, implement, and manage complex networks and multifaceted scenarios. Building on the professional and specialist certifications, these workshops provide in-depth expert knowledge for challenging configurations of R&S Networks and Cybersecurity devices.
You can also have the added competence you have acquired in this workshop certified as a R&S®NC Academy Certified Expert.

Certification: Practical exam (scenario-based)
Remote certification: take practical exams online
To become certified as an R&S®NC Academy Specialist or Expert, you must pass a practical exam. You can take this exam either on-site immediately following a classroom workshop or flexibly as a remote exam.
A remote exam is particularly suitable if you:
- have participated in a web-based training course,
- have not attended a workshop and would like to start with the exam right away,
- would like to take a retake, or
- would like to recertify within two years.

Troubleshooting workshops
(Preview – available starting in Oktober 2026)
Do you manage network infrastructures for R&S Networks and Cybersecurity and want to analyze issues more quickly, in a more structured manner, and more independently? In this workshop series, technicians, administrators, and authorized resellers will learn how to systematically narrow down typical fault patterns in R&S®LANCOM devices, gather appropriate diagnostic information, and resolve problems in a practical manner. The troubleshooting workshops help you understand issues at the end customer’s site more quickly, resolve them more effectively, and prepare support cases optimally when needed. Especially for employees from the sales area, the focus of the sales workshops is therefore on understanding Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity with our unique selling points, competitive advantages and solution strategies.
