Secure SD-WAN over 5G in a compact metal housing
For secure site connectivity in demanding infrastructure, the R&S®LANCOM IGR-750EF-5G combines advanced 5G cellular technology with flexible WAN connectivity via fiber optics (SFP) and Gigabit Ethernet. Support for two nano SIM cards or an eSIM enables quick and flexible switching between mobile networks. Reliable continuous operation in harsh environments is ensured by the compact, fanless full-metal housing with IP50 protection for enhanced dust resistance, as well as an extended operating temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C. Direct DIN rail mounting enables space-saving integration into control cabinets, making the Secure SD-WAN gateway ideally suited for connecting critical infrastructure in the energy sector, building automation, and distributed IT infrastructures. Secure SD-WAN engineered in Germany, IPSec and WireGuard VPN, and centralized management via the R&S®LANCOM Management Cloud enable secure, automated management of distributed sites while reducing resource-intensive maintenance tasks in hard-to-access deployment locations.

Intelligent networking with Secure SD-WAN
With Secure SD-WAN, you can centrally manage and protect your entire network: via the R&S®LANCOM Management Cloud (R&S®LMC), you define global security and access policies that are rolled out fully automatically and continuously monitored – from headquarters to branch offices. This significantly accelerates rollouts, configurations, and updates.
Encrypted Auto VPNs, High Scalability and Advanced Mesh VPNs, Dynamic Path Selection, and active/active WAN with intelligent load balancing ensure that business-critical applications always use the optimal transmission path. In addition, the R&S®LANCOM Security Essentials option further enhances security through centralized content filtering and URL blocking – for resilient and future-proof site networking.
High-bandwidth WAN connectivity via fiber and 5G
Fast internet – regardless of the access type: Depending on availability, use the integrated SFP port to connect to FTTH fiber-optic lines via a separately available transceiver module (GPON/AON), or use the 5G modem (via SIM card slot or eSIM) for primary operation, intelligent backup scenarios, as well as hybrid active/active architectures. Thanks to low latency and stable bandwidth, both access types are ideal for time-critical and data-intensive cloud, edge, and real-time applications. Gigabit Ethernet WAN is available for connecting external provider modems.
Compact hardware for demanding networking scenarios
Where space is limited and availability is critical, the R&S®LANCOM IGR-750EF-5G demonstrates its strengths. Its rugged, fanless full-metal housing rated to IP50 enables direct DIN rail mounting while providing reliable protection against external influences. This allows the Secure SD-WAN gateway to be integrated into control cabinets in a space-saving manner and deployed for connecting critical infrastructure in the energy sector, building automation, and distributed IT infrastructures.
The 9–36 V DC wide-range power input enables direct connection to various power supplies without requiring additional DC/DC converters. This simplifies integration into existing installations and reduces cabling effort. Integrated protection mechanisms against reverse polarity and overvoltage increase operational reliability and protect the device from typical electrical stresses. With an extended operating temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C, the device ensures reliable wireless connectivity even under demanding conditions.
